Super Spring Day

It was a beautiful 70 degrees this last Saturday. We decided to go on a picnic, head to the batting cages, and play some mini golf. Brian was in Memphis for work and we had to go without him.

First we headed to Subway and grabbed some lunch. We had our picnic at Rosecrest Park. It was absolutely gorgeous. The boys took their mitts and played a little catch. We headed over to Mulligans in South Jordan for batting practice. The boys each had a chance to hit 60 balls. They had so much fun. Those machines pitch really FAST.

Last, but not least, we played some mini-golf. Some of my children think that I cheat at miniature golf. I prefer to think of it as creative play. Not all of us are gifted. Xander was able to get a hole in one. Which was pretty awesome. However, Josh got the most AMAZING hole in one ever. It bounced off a wall, up into the air, and landed smack in the hole. It was pretty cool. Even with my creative play, I still lost. I guess some people would blame it on my "cheating"... but whatever!!! hahahaha We had an fabulous time.

After our fun day out we headed up to Lisa's for a BBQ and movie. Shay made some great burgers and salmon. Then the boys all watched Hancock and Lisa and I watched Twilight. I actually enjoyed it a lot more the 2nd time around.
