More Birthday Fun!

We celebrated Vicki, Bachan, Mom's birthday on March 15th. Her actual birthday is St. Patricks Day, but it was easier to get everyone together on that Sunday. Not to mention Brian was going to be out of town on her actual birthday, so he appreciated being able to celebrate with his mother. Lisa was nice enough to host the party and welcome everyone into her home again. She and Shay BBQ'd some burgers and hot dogs. We offered to bring the salads and cakes. We decorated the cake with shamrocks per Richard's very specific instructions. Brian and I were a little nervous because Vicki doesn't like the color green. Thankfully, she really likes shamrocks on her birthday cake. Phew! The cakes turned out really well. (okay... so I can bake nice things sometimes. Just not often.) Brian and Xander decorated the cakes with the shamrock designs. They are pretty good artists. I am sure Napoleon Dynamite would be jealous of their skills.

It was a nice night and we all had a great time. I know Vicki appreciated having her family with her to celebrate.
