Cake at the End of a Rainbow

Xander read on the Internet how to make a rainbow cake and has been wanting to bake one for a while. I have no clue where he gets his urge to bake from. I would rather walk on hot coals than bake. Cooking I can do. Baking I can do without. And if you have ever seen one of my cakes you would understand why. I am sure they taste okay, but looks wise, they should be taken out back and shot. Luckily I can cook... so all is not lost on me. Back to Xander... so he decided he wanted to make a rainbow cake because it was our turn to make dessert for family dinner. He got the recipe, followed all the directions, and the outcome was fabulous.
